ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ වානේ කම්බි නිෂ්පාදනයේ ප්‍රමුඛයා වන මෙල්වා සමාගම විසින් අනුරාධපුර දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ තාක්ෂණ නිලධාරින් (Technical Officers) වෙනුවෙන් ඉදි කිරීම් කර්මාන්තය පිළිබඳ වැඩමුළුවක් අනුරාධපුර මැන්ගෝ හෝටලයේදී නොවැම්බර් මස 7 වැනිදා පවත්වන ලදී. මේ සඳහා තාක්ෂණ නිලධාරීහු 100කට ආසන්න පිරිසක් සහභාගී වූහ. එසේම ඊ‌ට සමගාමීව ඉදි කිරීම් කර්මාන්තයේ නියැළී සිටින පෑස්සුම් ශිල්පීන්ගේ වෘත්තීය කුසලතා ඉහළ නැංවීමේ අරමුණෙන් සහ එම ශිල්පීන්ට ජාතික වශයෙන් පිළිගත් NVQ තෙවැනි මට්ටමේ සුදුසුකම හිමි කර දීමේ අරමුණෙන් විශේෂ පුහුණු වැඩසටහනක් නොවැම්බර් මස 9 වැනිදා වලස්මුල්ල මුතු විලා හෝටලයේදී පවත්වන ලදී.
මෙල්වා සමාගමේ පූර්ණ දායකත්වයෙන් සංවිධානය කරන ලද මෙම වැඩසටහනට 200කට ආසන්න පෑස්සුම් ශිල්පීහු සහභාගී වූහ. මෙම වැඩසටහනේදී ඉදි කිරීම් කටයුතු සඳහා නිවැරැදි තාක්ෂණය යොදා ගනිමින් GI බට හා Box Bar භාවිත කරන ආකාරය පිළිබඳව පෑස්සුම් ශිල්පීන්ව දැනුවත් කරන ලදී. GI බට හා Box Bar නිර්මාණශීලීව භාවිත කිරීමෙන් ඉදි කිරීම් ක්ෂේත්‍රයේ සිදු කළ හැකි නව වෙනස්කම් පිළිබදව මෙහිදී පෑස්සුම් ශිල්පීන්ට අවබෝධය සපයන ලදී. එසේම වැඩමුළුව සඳහා සහභාගී වුණු සියලු දෙනාටම මෙල්වා සමාගම විසින් වටිනා සහතිකයක්ද පිරිනමන ලදී. වැඩසටහන සඳහා සහභාගී වූ පිරිසෙන් තෝරා ගත් කණ්ඩායමකට ජාතික වෘත්තීය පුහුණු අධිකාරිය පිරිනමන NVQ තෙවැනි මට්ටමේ ජාතික සහතිකය හිමි කර ගැනීමට අවශ්‍ය පුහුණු සහ මූල්‍ය දායකත්වය මෙල්වා සමාගම විසින් සපයන ලදී. මෙම වැඩසටහන සඳහා සහභාගී වූ සියලුම පෑස්සුම් ශිල්පීන්ට වටිනා උපකරණ කට්ටලයක් පිරිනැමීමටද මෙල්වා සමාගම කටයුතු කළේය. ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ ඉදි කිරීම් කර්මාන්තයේ නියැලී සිටින ශ්‍රමිකයන්ට නිසි වෘත්තීය පුහුණුවක් සහ ජාතික හා ජාත්‍යන්තර වශයෙන් පිළිගත් ලිඛිත වෘත්තීය සුදුසුකමක් හිමි කර ගැනීමට අවස්ථාව උදා කර දීමේ අරමුණෙන් මෙල්වා සමාගම මෙම වැඩසටහන් මාලාව දිවයින පුරා අඛණ්ඩව ක්‍රියාත්මක කරයි. පළපුරුද්දට අමතරව NVQ වැනි පිළිගත් වෘත්තීය සුදුසුකමක් තිබීම දෙස් විදෙස් රැකියා අවස්ථා උදා කර ගැනීමට විශේෂ සුදුසුකමක් වේ.
