DFCC Bank honours Sri Lanka’s pensioners on Pensioners’ Day
DFCC Bank marks Pensioners’ Day by recognising Sri Lanka’s pensioners for their years of service and the important role they continue to play within their families and communities.
Retirement does not bring financial responsibilities to an end. Healthcare, home improvements, family commitments and personal plans continue, while many pensioners also support the education and future of younger generations.
DFCC Garusaru helps eligible pensioners meet these needs through loan facilities ranging from LKR 100,000 to LKR 12 million, with repayment periods of up to 15 years.
The facility is available to government pensioners, widows and widowers receiving state pensions, and pensioners of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and Ceylon Electricity Board. Eligible former military and law-enforcement personnel receiving salaries through their respective Pay and Records divisions may also apply.
Loan amounts and repayment periods are determined according to the applicant’s age, repayment capacity and DFCC Bank’s lending criteria. The loan must be fully repaid before the applicant reaches 75 years of age.
DFCC Bank also provides fingerprint authentication for the annual Life Certificate at 50 branches for eligible government pensioners who retired after 2016 and have registered their fingerprints with the relevant authorities.
Through DFCC Garusaru and related banking services, DFCC Bank seeks to make it easier for pensioners to manage their financial needs and continue with the plans that remain important to them.
Further information on eligibility, applicable terms and how to apply is available on the DFCC Garusaru Pension Loan page.
