BOC FLEX App Shines with Triple Win at Digital CX Awards 2026 in Singapore

Demonstrating Sri Lanka’s growing strength in digital banking innovation, the Bank of Ceylon (BOC) achieved a remarkable international milestone by securing three prestigious accolades at the globally recognized Digital CX Awards 2026, held in Singapore alongside the Digital CX Summit 2026. BOC was the only Sri Lankan bank to be recognized at this summit.

BOC’s flagship digital platform, BOC Flex, was honoured with three major awards: Best Customer Experience via Mobile and Internet Banking – Sri Lanka, Best Digital Bank for Customer Experience – Sri Lanka, and Outstanding Digital CX in Banking App/Platform – Sri Lanka, further reinforcing its position as a leader in digital innovation and customer-centric banking.

The awards were received by the Bank’s General Manager /Chief Executive Officer, Y. A. Jayathilaka, at the international ceremony attended by global leaders in digital transformation and customer experience. The achievement reflects the Bank’s continued focus on innovation, seamless digital services, and strengthening customer trust.

BOC Flex has been designed as a true “all in one app” platform, extending its services beyond BOC customers to all Sri Lankans. In a short span of time, it has become one of the country’s most widely used financial applications, with over 1.6 million active users. Within just a 12-month period, the platform has facilitated transaction volume worth over  Rs. 1 trillion, marking a significant milestone in Sri Lanka’s digital banking journey. It is currently ranked as the number one banking application in the App Store, Google Play Store, and Huawei AppGallery in Sri Lanka.

Speaking at the summit, GM/CEO Y. A. Jayathilaka stated, “These awards reflect  the trust and confidence that Sri Lankans and our valued customers placed in us. Therefore these awards go to them dedicated workforce of the bank and all stakeholders.”

He further emphasized the Bank’s strategic direction, adding, “We are firmly heading towards a cashless economy roadmap, and BOC Flex is playing a pivotal role in this transformation. The Bank’s contribution to Sri Lankan economy, SME sector and Financial inclusion was highlighted in this summit.”

The recognition at the Global Digital CX Awards 2026 underscores BOC’s commitment to digital excellence, innovation, and customer-focused banking. As BOC Flex continues to expand its capabilities and reach, it remains a key driver in shaping Sri Lanka’s transition towards a modern, secure, and cashless financial ecosystem.
