සිසුන්ගේ අධ්‍යාපන ගුණාත්මකභාවය වර්ධනය කරමින් සහ තරගකාරී ලෝකය තුළ දියුණු වීමට අවශ්‍ය කුසලතා හා දැනුම ලබාදීමට කැපවී කටයුතු කරන SLIIT ආයතනය, අනාගත සිසුන් සඳහා පශ්චාත් උපාධි අධ්‍යාපන ඩිප්ලෝමාව (Postgraduate Diploma in Education) සහ අධ්‍යාපනපති (Master of Education) යන උපාධි පාඨමාලා පිරිනැමීමට පියවර ගෙන ඇත.
2024 වසරේ අධ්‍යයන වර්ෂය සඳහා SLIIT විසින් මෙම ඩිප්ලෝමා සහ උපාධි පාඨමාලාව ඉදිරපත් කර ඇති අතර අධ්‍යාපනපති උපාධි පාඨමාලාව ජනවාරි මස දී සහ පශ්චාත් උපාධි අධ්‍යාපන ඩිප්ලෝමා පාඨමාලාව පෙබරවාරි මාසයේ දී ආරම්භ කිරීමට නියමිතය.
අධ්‍යාපනපති උපාධි පාඨමාලාව (Master of Education)
එසේ ආරම්භ කෙරෙන අධ්‍යාපනපති උපාධි පාඨමාලාවේ 9 වන මට්ටමේ පාඨමාලා කාලය මාස 12 කි. එම පාඨමාලාවේ 10 වන මට්ටමේ පාඨමාලා කාලය මාස 24 ක් වේ. මෙම පාඨමාලා සති අන්තයේදී පැවැත්වීමට නියමිතය.
මෙම උපාධි පාඨමාලාවේ අධ්‍යයන කටයුතු සමාසික (Semester) ක්‍රමයට පැවැත්වෙන අතර, එක් එක් සමාසිකය අවසානයේ දී ඊට අදාළ විභාග පවත්වනු ලබයි. ඒ අනූව පාඨාලාභීන්ගේ කැමැත්ත මත මාස 12 හෝ මාස 24 පාඨමාලා හැදෑරීමට අවස්ථාව ඇත. මාස 24 පාඨමාලාව හැදෑරීමෙන් අනතුරුව පාඨාලාභීන් හට ආචාර්ය උපාධි පාඨමාලාව හැදෑරීමේ අවකාශය හිමිවන අතර ඔවුන්ට ඒ සඳහා සෘජුව ම ලියාපදිංචි වීමට හැකිය.
සිංහල, දෙමළ හා ඉංග්‍රීසි යන මාධ්‍ය ත්‍රිත්වයෙන්ම මෙම පාඨමාලාව පැවැත්වෙන අතර පාඨමාලාලාභීන්ට පහසු වේලාවක් තුළදී නිවසේ රැඳෙමින් අධ්‍යයන කටයුතුවල නියැලීමේ ක්‍රමයට (Flipped Classroom Method) පාඨමාලා පවත්වනු ලැබීම මෙහි විශේෂත්වයකි. ඊට අමතරව මසකට එක් සති අන්තයකදී ප්‍රයෝගික ක්‍රියාකාරකම් සඳහා පාඨමාලාලාභීන්ට අනිවාර්යයෙන්ම SLIIT ආයතනය වෙත පැමිණිය යුතු වේ. මෙම පාඨමාලාව අධ්‍යාපන අමාත්‍යාංශය යටතේ පවතින විශ්වවිද්‍යාල ප්‍රතිපාදන කොමිසන් සභාව විසින් අනුමත කර තිබේ.
ස්වයං අධ්‍යයන ක්‍රමවේදය යටතේ සිසුන්ට තමන්ට හැකි උපරිමයෙන් අධ්‍යයන කටයුතු කරගෙනයාමට SLIIT විසින් අවකාශය සලසා දීම මෙම පාඨමාලාවේ විශේෂත්වයක් වන අතර නවීන තාක්ෂණික ක්‍රමවේද භාවිතය, විද්‍යුත් ලිපින, අන්තර්ජාල භාවිත පහසුකම් හා ප්‍රවාහන පහසුකම් ඇතුළු තවත් පහසුකම් SLIIT විසින් ඔවුන්ට ලබාදෙනු ලබයි.
සිසුන්ට මෙම පාඨමාලාව හැදෑරීම සඳහා ඇතුළත්වීමේ සුදුසුකම් ලෙස පශ්චාත් උපාධි අධ්‍යාපන ඩිප්ලෝමා සහතිකය හෝ අධ්‍යාපනවේදී උපාධි සහතිකය තිබීම අනිවාර්ය වන අතර එම සුදුසුකම් ඇති ඕනෑම අයකුට 2024 වසරේ ජනවාරි මාසයේදී ආරම්භවන මෙම පාඨමාලාව සඳහා ලියාපදිංචි වීමට අවස්ථාව ඇත.
පශ්චාත් උපාධි අධ්‍යාපන ඩිප්ලෝමා පාඨමාලාව (Postgraduate Diploma in Education)
2024 වසරේ පෙබරවාරි මාසයේදී ආරම්භ කිරීමට නියමිත පශ්චාත් උපාධි අධ්‍යාපන ඩිප්ලෝමා 8 වන මට්ටමේ පාඨමාලාවේ අධ්‍යයන කාලය මාස 18 ක් වන අතර සති අන්තයේදී එය පැවැත්වීමට නියමිතය.
මෙම උපාධි පාඨමාලාවේ අධ්‍යයන කටයුතු සමාසික (Semester) දෙකකට පැවැත්වෙන අතර, එක් එක් සමාසිකය අවසානයේ දී ඊට අදාළ විභාග පවත්වනු ලබයි.

විභාග සඳහා සිසුන්ට අධ්‍යයන නිවාඩු ලබාගැනීමට SLIIT අවකාශය සලසා දෙනු ලබයි. ඒ අනුව සිසුන් ප්‍රායෝගික ක්‍රියාකාරකම් සඳහා පැමිණෙන සතියේ සඳුදා හෝ සිකුරාදා දිනවලින් එක් දිනයක් අධ්‍යයන නිවාඩු ලෙස ඔවුන්ට ලබා ගත හැකිය.
