Minasro College in Pelawatta, Matugama has reached a major milestone with its first-ever group of students successfully passing the 2024 Ordinary Level (O/L) Examination. Every student in this initial batch passed with excellent results, sitting for the exam entirely in English medium. Pesandi Dulansa Kannangara secured the top results in the school, earning 8 Distinction (A) passes and 1 Very Good (B) pass across 9 subjects. She also received two major accolades: the Best Student of the Year 2024 Award (presented at a ceremony at the BMICH in Colombo) and the All-Round Academic Performer Award 2024 (at the World School Summit held at HELP University, Malaysia).
Minasro College was founded by Dr. Major. Anura Kannangara with a vision to provide a global-level education to children in rural areas. The success of this first O/L batch, with all students qualifying for Advanced Level (A/L) studies, is a strong start for the school’s academic journey.
