Pussalla Agri Ventures (Pvt) Ltd has been honoured with the Sustainable Agriculture Infrastructure Award at the Sri Lankan Sustainability Awards 2026, recognising the company’s commitment to sustainable agriculture, environmental stewardship and responsible organic cinnamon production.
The awards ceremony, organised by the Ceylon Institute of Builders (CIOB), recognises organisations that have demonstrated excellence in integrating sustainability into their core business operations while contributing to Sri Lanka’s sustainable development agenda.
The recognition highlights Pussalla Agri Ventures’ holistic approach to sustainable agriculture, combining environmentally responsible farming practices with internationally recognised quality and food safety standards. The company has established an integrated value chain encompassing cinnamon cultivation, harvesting, processing, value addition and packaging, ensuring complete traceability and consistent product quality from farm to finished product.
Pussalla Agri Ventures implements responsible agricultural practices focused on soil conservation, biodiversity protection, efficient resource utilisation and the elimination of prohibited synthetic chemicals. These initiatives support the long-term sustainability of agricultural production while preserving the environment for future generations.
The company’s commitment to international best practices is reflected in its portfolio of globally recognised certifications, including EU Organic, USDA Organic, Sri Lanka Good Agricultural Practices (SL-GAP), Food Good Manufacturing Practices (Food GMP) and Cosmetic Good Manufacturing Practices (Cosmetic GMP).
These certifications validate the company’s compliance with stringent international requirements for organic production, product quality, environmental protection and consumer safety.
